Don’t Accept The Standard Real Estate Website

A “free website” is standard fare offered by brokerages looking to lure real estate professionals into their stable. Most are basic sites with limited options and many are fairly robust, but in order to truly stand out amongst the thousands of sales agents in any given area, it’s going

Surefire Is a Sure Thing

Since holding my first Maglite, I’ve been on the lookout for the perfect flashlight. It is a bit strange how these hand torches draw the interest of men - just visit any typical man-store (home improvement, sporting goods, etc.) and you will find a wall of flashlights with features

Plan Your Summer Road Trip

Plan Your Summer Road Trip

My recent trip to Colorado took me across familiar ground and reminded me why I love driving cross-country. While the big cities have their architectural feats and miles of museum halls, it’s the small towns that always siphon a couple extra bucks in fuel to drive out the way. Tucked

Elk005
The story is these good ol’ boys were out for a day of salmon fishing and got snagged. This 6×6 elk was the culprit. I’m guessing it broke through the ice during the winter and the cold water kept it preserved until spring. If you know anything about it, tell us about it in the Comments.

Binary-1
It was a good month but once again I forgot to add the Google Analytics tracking code to my new theme. Six days later I realized the omission so rather than extrapolate those numbers, I’m going to leave them out for this month’s report.
That leaves Wordpress’ onboard report which shows a total of 566 Views in April, down 28% from March but up significantly from February. I’m happy with the performance and realize this post drove much of that’s month’s traffic. For April, these were the top posts:

Tips for RV Newbies
Six Months with the Headblade
Four Days With Mozy
Cowgirl Camp at 9 Lives Ranch
Get Fit 2008: Q1 Update

Top clickthroughs went to my Twitter account. I used Twitter to document a recent roadtrip so my family could keep tabs on me without having to call me every day. Look for a post on this experiment soon. Advertisers did well, with Jens Pretty Pens and Spot On Creative getting a majority of clicks. As for the banner ads, the affiliate ads along the bottom of the homepage performed better than the in-article ads from Google AdSense. This is surprising due to the AdSense ads having better position and relevancy. I’ll be watching this closely in the coming months.

With RSS subscribers up significantly, things look to be gaining some steam so be sure to subscribe and stay tuned, I’ve got some great articles in the pipeline!
